Yesterday, Alexander competed in the ‘Virgin Active’, at Falmer (East Sussex).
Alexander hadn’t had the advantage of a ‘warm-up’, before his first match.
It took a while for Alexander, to mentally get to grips with the match, which he lost!!
Fortunately, Alexander won his second!!
By the time, Alexander reached his third, his stamina was diminishing, and his knee was giving him trouble. Alexander, had a warrior spirit, and he fought with gusto and determination.
Alexander and his opponent, gave the spectators an amazing match, which comprised of lengthy rallies, and a high calibre match.
Due to exhaustion, Alexander had more ‘double faults’, than usual and three points would have been his, however Alexander missed the opportunity, and they were left unrewarded!!
Even though, his final match (of the day!), had been very close,; Alexander lost.
Alexander gave absolute everything. He needs to build his stamina, and to increase his court time.
Both players gave a sterling and very impressive performance!!
